Jewett Arts Homepage Initial design - 2016
I was commissioned by the Architecture Department at Wellesley College to create a website dedicated to the Jewett Arts Center. The site would be revealed at a symposium dedicated to discussing the importance of preserving Modern buildings.
I was given free reign as a designer and developer for this project. My goal was to create a site that reflected the style and design of the 1950's and 60's, and that created a story around the creation of the Jewett Arts Center, how it was built during the Modernist movement and how its design was meant to reflect the progressive mindset of the growing Arts department.
This project contains an animated timeline, a section discussing, important figures that helped shape the Jewett Arts Center, an interactive map, and a collection of articles related to the JAC and modern architecture.
